Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Field Service Technician. If you enjoy working in the field and with different telecommunication systems throughout your day. A person who is committed to safety, quality and a best in class approach to customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Test, install, troubleshoot and repair telecommunication services
  • Interact in a professional manner and deliver exceptional service
  • Drive to and from customer locations within the NYC Area
  • Operate testing equipment
  • Utilize a laptop computer and various software applications
  • Install/repair DSL, business voice, PRI, T1, and/or Ethernet services
  • Perform preventative maintenance routines to ensure proper system operation
  • Develop solutions to difficult technical problems encountered as part of system maintenance, upgrades or support issues
  • Continuously learning the latest technologies and troubleshooting techniques
  • Team with other personnel to effectively maintain, optimize and support advanced communication systems
  • Carry out other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must have a current/valid Driver's License
  • Experience working on site technical support. Telephony experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal, written, and technical documentation skills
  • Ability to processes requests from internal ticketing systems - ServiceNow
  • Ability to work independently on routine duties and take the initiative in learning and understanding new product systems and features
