Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Field Service Technician. If you enjoy working in the field and with different telecommunication systems throughout your day. A person who is committed to safety, quality and a best in class approach to customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Test, install, troubleshoot and repair telecommunication services
- Interact in a professional manner and deliver exceptional service
- Drive to and from customer locations within the NYC Area
- Operate testing equipment
- Utilize a laptop computer and various software applications
- Install/repair DSL, business voice, PRI, T1, and/or Ethernet services
- Perform preventative maintenance routines to ensure proper system operation
- Develop solutions to difficult technical problems encountered as part of system maintenance, upgrades or support issues
- Continuously learning the latest technologies and troubleshooting techniques
- Team with other personnel to effectively maintain, optimize and support advanced communication systems
- Carry out other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must have a current/valid Driver's License
- Experience working on site technical support. Telephony experience a plus
- Excellent verbal, written, and technical documentation skills
- Ability to processes requests from internal ticketing systems - ServiceNow
- Ability to work independently on routine duties and take the initiative in learning and understanding new product systems and features
