Data Automation Specialist
Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Automation Strategy: Develop and implement a data automation strategy to streamline data workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Workflow Automation: Design and implement automated workflows for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from various sources to target systems. Utilize tools and technologies such as scripting languages, workflow orchestration tools, and integration platforms.
  • Data Integration: Automate the integration of data from multiple sources, including databases, APIs, files, and streaming platforms. Ensure seamless data flow and synchronization between systems to support analytics, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Data Cleansing and Enrichment: Develop automated processes for data cleansing, validation, and enrichment to ensure data quality and consistency. Implement business rules, validation checks, and data profiling techniques to identify and correct errors and anomalies.
  • Monitoring and Alerting: Implement automated monitoring and alerting mechanisms to proactively identify data issues, anomalies, and performance bottlenecks. Set up alerts and notifications for data quality issues, job failures, and system errors.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously optimize and improve automated processes to enhance performance, reliability, and scalability. Identify opportunities for optimization, refactoring, and automation enhancement based on performance metrics and feedback.
  • Documentation and Training: Document automated processes, workflows, and best practices in a clear and concise manner. Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders on using automated tools and systems effectively.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and IT professionals, to understand data requirements and automate data-related tasks and processes.
  • Performs other duties as required

Technical Skills:

  • Skilled in the Power Platform (Power Apps/Automate/Power Virtual Agents/AI Builder) or expert in creating automations using another automation platform.
  • Ability to use SOAP and REST APIs for programmatic data access. Familiar with XML, JSON.
  • Experience in data integration and understanding of basic relational database concepts.
  • Solid knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts.
  • Experience with Application Lifecycle Management, DevOps, and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with Intelligent Automation (i.e., automation that uses AI components) a PLUS
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure services a PLUS
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals or Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate are a PLUS
  • RPA and/or software testing automation experience a PLUS
