Overview:

In addition to Full-Time employment with our partner, this program provides NO COST skills-based training to highly motivated individuals.  This training is tailored to the specific role and includes both technical and interpersonal components. This unique work-study opportunity differs from the typical job. Our solution, for those who are ready, will put you on the right personal, academic, and professional path while providing the necessary support and mentorship to help keep you there.

Candidate Profile:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Availability to work full-time

Program Overview:

  • Phase 1 - Training (5 Weeks):
    • Classes and certification test preparation will be held Monday – Friday
    • Training will include:
      • Interpersonal Skills
      • Technical Training and Certification (as needed)
    • Phase 1 Compensation: $650/Week Stipend
  • Phase 2 - Full-Time Employment:
    • Full-Time work (38 hours/week) with a training component (2 hours/week)
    • Throughout the program you will receive continued support and individual mentorship to ensure your success.
    • Phase 2 Compensation:
      • $30.00/Hour (Plus Benefits after 90 days)

Position Description:

The Windows Support Associate provides technical support for all requirements in the planning, coordination, programming, and implementation of releases, upgrades or changes to operating system software and hardware, and the range of products and productivity tools that support the testing and production environments relating to the operating system.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Windows based IT Infrastructure (Windows 10, Server 2019), perform Security patching, OS/hardware break/fix, Power BI, Scripting using Python/Perl
  • Partakes in the design, development, testing, coordination, implementation, maintenance and administration of Windows based IT Infrastructure and applications
  • Assists with analyzing business/technical and related needs and may propose suitable solutions
  • Creates processes and tools to enhance and streamline support and maintenance process
  • Creates revisions to existing programs, systems and procedures
  • Uses appropriate tools to troubleshoot and correct deficiencies
  • Conducts product research and evaluation
  • Designs and implements software; handles hardware configuration
  • Responsible for software installation, configuration, testing, documentation, upgrades and maintenance
  • Provides technical support including trouble shooting and problem resolution

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Exceptional analytical skills
  • Demonstrate strong customer focus, team membership skills and
  • Good oral/written communications skills.
  • Proven track record of producing quality products to predetermined standards and specifications plus a desire to learn and apply new skills are required
  • Understanding and wide application of technical principle, theories, and concepts in the field.  General knowledge of other related disciplines.   
  • Knowledge of operating system(s) and relevant software and hardware products, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, performance tuning and capacity planning

  • Full Time

Salary:

  • Training: $650/Week
  • Full-Time: $30.00/Hour (plus benefits)
