Workforce Opportunity Services (WOS) is a leading 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to developing the skills of untapped talent from historically underrepresented communities through partnerships with organizations dedicated to diversifying their workforce.

In addition to Full-Time employment with our partner, this program provides NO COST skills-based training to highly motivated individuals on an as needed basis.  If provided, this training will be tailored to the specific role and includes both technical and interpersonal components. This unique work-study opportunity differs from the typical job. Candidate Profile:

  • Post 9/11 Military Veteran with an Honorable discharge, OR currently serving in the National Guard/Reserve
  • We are looking for an individual who already has or is pursuing a B.S. degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Availability to work full-time

Program Overview:

  • Phase 1 - Training (If Needed - Up to 4 Weeks):
    • Classes and certification test preparation will be held Monday – Friday
    • Training may include:
      • Interpersonal Skills
      • Technical Training and Certification (if needed)
  • Phase 2 - Full-Time Employment:
    • Full-Time work (38 hours/week) with a training component (2 hours/week)
    • Throughout the program you will receive continued support and individual mentorship to ensure your success.
  • Compensation:
    • $27.00 Hour (Plus Benefits after 90 days FT)

As an Entry Level Data Analyst within the Security Data Analytics team, you will work with Stakeholders to understand their automation project needs. Work with data from several sources to create Dashboards and workflows. Create Dashboards using Visualization tools, Tableau, for those projects. Present demos and final projects to management and Stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis: Collect, organize, and analyze large volumes of data using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Tableau Dashboard creation.
  • Data Interpretation: Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies within the data, and develop insights that can be used to inform security strategies and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing data analysis findings, including key metrics, trends, and recommendations.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with team members to identify areas for process improvement, automation, and optimization of data analysis workflows.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Monitor compliance with internal security policies, industry regulations, and best practices, and provide recommendations for remediation as necessary. Documentation to support compliance will be provided by Johnson & Johnson.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, to ensure effective data analysis
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and tools in data analysis and risk management to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools.
    • Intermediate to Advanced in Microsoft Excel. Experience using pivot tables and creating Dashboards.
    • Experience with data visualization tools - Tableau is the daily tool used. Training on Tableau may be provided to those with only Power BI experience.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to use Data Analysis language in a clear and concise manner. A major function of this role will be presenting Dashboards to Stakeholders and management.
  • Presentation Skills: Proficient in presentation skills with a proven track record of creating and delivering impactfull presentations to stakeholders.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets and communicate findings effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Team Player: Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
