About The Opportunity

Workforce Opportunity Services (WOS)—the leading non-profit organization connecting individuals with transformative career opportunities—in partnership with PSEG, is looking for emerging talent from the local NJ community and/or military Veterans.

Candidate Profile:

  • College graduate with a Bachelor's degree in any of the following concentrations:
    • Computer Science
    • Information/Computer/Network Security
    • Computer Engineering and/or
    • a related technical discipline
  • Outgoing personality
  • Availability to work full-time
  • Immediate start date
  • Able to pass an extensive background (if selected)
  • Military Veterans desired

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with a variety of teams to develop technology strategies, architectural blueprints, roadmaps, and perspectives throughout the customer journey- from acquisition, through experience, and into retention
  • Create opportunities via collaboration with a variety of stakeholders to improve marketing and loyalty technologies and better understand our customers
  • Work alongside other architects devising meaningful ways to improve customer and partner experiences through shared roadmaps, technologies, and partnerships
  • Inspire the strategic direction of marketing and loyalty technologies through active product and program engagement
  • Assist in the identification and evaluation of new technologies and software to enhance the customer experience at Starbucks
  • Develop and advocate patterns, principles, practices, and governance that help infuse new technologies and advanced analytics into solutions being planned and developed

Qualifications:

  • Strong technology and human-centered design background as well as ability to formulate clear strategies
  • A robust technology understanding in least one of these spaces: marketing, loyalty, or retail; with a solid grasp of the others
  • Ability to thrive in a diverse, global environment
  • An aptitude to craft effective presentations and deliverables for non-technical audiences
  • Five or more years of IT experience
    • At least two years of department level (or greater) process design, technical proofs of concept, and/or solution design experience involving multiple technologies
    • At least one year participating in departmental (or greater) RFPs evaluating technologies and/or solutions
    • At least one year of architecture or enterprise level analytical experiences
